Martin Richmond
Martin, was born in York, England, but lives in Falkirk in Scotland, with his wonderful wife Sheila and faithful Sabre-toothed cat, Whiskey. He has 2 wonderful daughters, Jacqueline and Aimi, a brave son, Graeme and 2 amazing grandson’s Ryan and Ethan. Aimi, also a horror aficionado herself, constantly keeps him on his toes, providing invaluable proof reading and opinions, ensuring the highest fright levels are adhered to in all his tales to terrify. Martin has worked with a local history museum, was a technician with a brewery, and worked for many years as a prison officer with the Scottish Prison Service. During this time he honed his writing craft with the local Falkirk Writer’s Circle until he was bitten by the screen writing bug and has never looked back. Specialising in all things fright and gruesome in his passion for short stories his first publication was ‘The Trapdoor to Halloween’, a collection of fun, spooky tales for all ages. His second, an e-book, ‘The Trapdoor to Murder,’ is a collection of murder short stories and the latest, a scary, short story collection, ‘Beasties and other stories,’ is produced with Demain Publishing from Amazon. The original story that inspired the screenplay ‘Through a Stained Glass eye’, is part of this collection.
